Larry has over 25 years of experience developing innovative products. With a strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering and system level development, he is able to lead dynamic multi-functional technical teams. He has worked for companies ranging from start-ups to Fortune 50 companies.
As program manager he has managed groups responsible for a diverse range of highly complex products. His complete understanding of the product development process and the impact that design has on product cost and customer satisfaction has been crucial for developing successful products. He establishes clear program milestones and expectations and effectively communicates this.
He has improved the engineering infrastructure at several companies by establishing the product development process and engineering design resources including design libraries for CAD, material properties and fabrication vendors. This has strengthened the company’s ability to manage programs and efficiently develop products.
On the technical side, he spent his early career designing high speed printers for industrial use and energy based systems for industrial and medical applications for which he holds two patents. These energy based systems involved state of the art Laser, Radio Frequency, and Ultrasonic technologies. His broad understanding of materials and manufacturing processes give him great insight into the need for fundamental knowledge of critical product features. He has developed crucial technologies for in-house use. Larry received his B.S degree in Mechanical Engineering (1985) from the University of Washington.
